Widewater Waterfowl is one of the most well known waterfowl outfitters in Virginia. Owned and operated by a fifth generation waterman Jerry Decatur Jr and family. Widewater Waterfowl was started in late 1994 by Jerry and friend Reed Whiteherst. They started guiding out of a 14’ john boat and only had two blinds at that time on the Potomac River. Today hunting on the Potomac with Widewater Waterfowl is second to none. Now having more than 4 top guides and over 20 blinds on the river and Aquia Creek of Virginia, they are the biggest waterfowl outfitter in the Virginia area. Ranging from Canada geese, puddle ducks and divers they are sure to meet your hunting needs. Widewater offers fully guided hunts, non-guided hunts and lease offers as well. They can accommodate up to 20 hunters in one party and still have room for more. If you are looking for a guide service that knows this river than you have came to the right place.

Southbound

•From I-95, take exit 143A, proceed to ramp leading to Route 1-Northbound;

•Travel approximately 5 mile to the Telegraph Rd. traffic signal and turn right

•Travel less than 1/2 mile on Telegraph Rd. and turn left onto Widewater Rd.;

•Travel 3.8 miles, you will see the Widewater Waterfowl sign. Keep left on to gravel road, when you come to the end, make a right, go under the train bridge, to arrive at our cabin (tucks Only) cars park at dead end.

Northbound

•From I-95, take exit 148, proceed to ramp leading to Route 1-southbound;

•Travel approximately 1 mile to the Telegraph Rd. traffic signal and turn left

•Travel less than 1/2 mile on Telegraph Rd. and turn left onto Widewater Rd.;

•Travel 3.8 miles, you will see the Widewater Waterfowl sign. Keep left on to gravel road, when you come to the end make a right, go under the train bridge, to arrive at our cabin (tucks Only) cars park at dead end.
